Emmy CULIANEZ
Inclusive Photographer
I reveal emotion where it is not yet visible.

A professional photographer since 2016, I approach photography as a meeting point between emotion, perception, and artistic expression.
Through Fine Art, human-centred projects, and inclusive photography, I create images designed not only to be seen, but also to be felt.

Artistic and Inclusive Photographer

My Journey

Part of my artistic journey has been shaped through exhibitions and projects presented in Oman.

Photography entered my life at an early age. When I was ten years old, my mother gave me my first camera, a Hanimex 110 DF. Very quickly, photography became a way for me to observe and understand the world from a different perspective.

I later discovered analogue photography and black-and-white darkroom work: film development, printing, dodging and burning. This slower and more tactile approach to image-making continues to influence the way I photograph today.

Alongside this artistic sensitivity, I pursued scientific studies and earned a Master’s degree in Statistics. This dual approach—both analytical and creative—remains an essential part of my photographic vision: composing images with precision while leaving room for emotion and intuition.

In 2019, I left France to live in Rio de Janeiro for several years before continuing my journey in Oman. These international experiences have deeply enriched my work and shaped the way I approach people, cultures, and emotions through photography.

My Vision of Photography

For me, photography is about far more than capturing a moment. An image can tell a story, evoke emotion, awaken memories, or reveal what often goes unnoticed. I pay particular attention to:

  • light,
  • texture,
  • atmosphere,
  • genuine emotion.

Above all, I strive to create sincere and sensitive images where aesthetics and emotion come together naturally.

This vision is expressed through an approach inspired by documentary and lifestyle photography. Whether working on a personal, professional, or artistic project, I prioritize natural interactions, spontaneous gestures, and genuine emotions over rigid staging and posed moments. My goal is to create images that are vibrant, human, and timeless—images that tell a story with authenticity.

Inclusive Photography

For several years, I have also been developing projects centred around inclusive photography.
Through tactile artworks, audio descriptions, and a sensory approach to image-making, I seek to make photography accessible to a wider audience, including people who are blind or visually impaired.
My goal is not simply to show an image, but to create new ways of experiencing it.
This artistic approach has led to several exhibitions and collaborations focused on cultural accessibility and inclusion.
